Volaris Group’s presence in Europe is strengthened by his portfolio’s understanding of regional business cultures

Growth has stayed a consistent theme throughout Jesper Ulsted’s career.

Over the course of his career with Volaris Group, he has worked his way up, starting as a student trainee and eventually gaining operational experience with just about every function within a software business. Many leaders within the Volaris network who attended Quadrants 2024 are already familiar with his inspiring career journey.

Now that he is a Portfolio Leader, his primary focus is on M&A and expanding a fast-growing portfolio, while working with leaders within the portfolio to continue improving their business operations.

Understanding the complexities of Europe

Within Volaris, Jesper’s team has earned a reputation for their knowledge of Europe.

When Acquired Knowledge last profiled him in 2022, he was the newest portfolio leader at Volaris. Less than three years later, his portfolio is home to around 25 software companies – and that number continues to grow as his portfolio actively seeks to acquire more businesses.

Currently, the businesses that make up the portfolio have a presence in countries including Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, the Isle of Man, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the UK.

In addition to having M&A resources distributed across Europe, his team is fluent in many of the languages that represent the region, including Danish, French, German, English, and Spanish.
