Volaris Executive Chairman discusses Canada’s entrepreneurial culture at the NACO Summit
A day after the Canadian election, Mark Miller, Chief Operating Officer of Constellation Software and Executive Chairman at Volaris Group, spoke at the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO) summit in the Canadian capital of Ottawa.
The event brought together close to 500 tech leaders and investors to discuss the state of Canada’s entrepreneurial culture and how innovators and entrepreneurs can build a bold vision of Canada’s economic future. During a panel, Miller shared the stage with Shelley Kuipers, co-founder and CEO of The51, in a discussion moderated by Amanda Lang, business journalist and Chief Financial Correspondent at CTV.
He encouraged young people to shift away from worshipping the “big exit’” and instead be inspired by what is called the “Mittelstand” in Germany, where the culture reveres small to mid-sized businesses that are “focused on doing something that really matters to solve lasting problems.”
His comments were included in an article published in the Toronto Star, Canada’s largest daily newspaper.

agentOS PropTech Group CEO joins Griffin’s panel of experts to talk about new AML rules for the UK property industry
Glyn Trott, CEO of agentOS PropTech Group, was featured on an online panel of experts to discuss updated regulations in anti-money laundering (AML) introduced by the Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI). The regulations, introduced in May 2025, mandate that all UK letting agents must check tenants, landlords, and other clients against the UK’s official sanctions list and report any matches. The regulations are meant to prevent the property market from being used to move or conceal illicit funds. Trott’s group is behind the product Calmony, which provides letting agents with a technical solution to help them comply with regulations.
The webinar was hosted by Griffin, a licensed British bank and banking-as-a-service provider. The discussion gave an overview of the new regulations, the vulnerabilities that can come from third-party payments that were not covered in initial tenant checks, what letting agents need to know about potential prosecution and liability, and how to turn compliance into cost-saving and revenue-generating opportunities.

Agronomix Software CEO speaks about how M&A can support innovation in Middle Market Growth
Agronomix Software CEO Chris Leonard was quoted in Middle Market Growth, the official publication of the Association for Corporate Growth, a community for middle-market M&A professionals. In the article, he speaks about how M&A can support emerging advancements and innovations in plant genetics.
Leonard is bullish on AI adoption and acknowledges that progress in tech adoption within the plant genetics space requires patience, since it takes time to develop new solutions and assess their performance through several planting and growing seasons. He says the long-term nature of the industry helped Agronomix choose the right M&A partner in Volaris Group in 2022. Agronomix Software was acquired by Cultura Technologies, an agri-food portfolio within Volaris Group. The promise by Volaris to never sell the company is “one of the driving forces that made us stick with them through the years,” he said.
Leonard says that smaller organizations can achieve bigger things by selling to the right M&A partner: “They’re going to be given the tools they need to go up to the next level to become a bigger organization. The conversations that I have with M&A often revolve around those comments: We are better together. We have real industry problems that we can solve if we work together.”
