Jay Hoffman, CEO of Gallery Systems Inc.

“I felt comfortable with Volaris. They were honest, had high integrity, and were ultimately good business people… Now that we have the weight of this large parent company behind us, I think that we can further grow our business and become titans in the industry.”

Challenges and Goals

Gallery Systems (Gallery) is a cultural collections asset management software company that has thrived for the past 20 years with over 800 customers. But when his partners started to consider retirement, Jay Hoffman (CEO) was unsure how the business would fair post retirement. As well, Hoffman was looking to have a more strategic role in the business and not be caught up in day-to-day operations. Gallery needed a parent that would provide an exit strategy for the retiring partners and could help the company be more strategic for the long term.

The Volaris Difference

Since being acquired by Volaris Group in 2012, Gallery Systems has experienced these key benefits:

  • An exit plan for the retiring partners
  • Implementation of new metrics and ways of managing its development process
  • Generation of new revenue streams and more organic growth initiatives

Since the acquisition, Hoffman has been able to step away from the day-to-day operations and be more focused on long-term strategies and growth. As well, Gallery has begun to explore potential mergers and acquisitions of their own to further round out their market presence.
